Landskapsutvikling i nordlige Breheimen : en sammenligning av glasial og periglasial påvirkning
Abstract
Solifluction lobes were measured and the glacial imprints in the landscape studied, in two mountain areas in Skjåk and Lom using ortophotos. The main aim was to quantify landscape diffusivity by averaging the total volume of sediments in transport, in the area of interest, per year since the end of the last glaciation. This rate was compared to results from the model of Egholm et al. (2015). The modelled diffusivity was substantially larger than my results, most likely reflecting that the model was made without considering the local conditions of the slopes. Although the periglacial imprint on the landscape is substantial, the landscape is also to a large degree modified by glaciers, both in terms of erosional overdeepened pools and sedimentary landforms of subglacial origin.
