The findings from a case study of a small software development organization illustrates the challenges that exists within outsourcing and global software development. The focus of the study is on how the organization deals withthe challenges identified in prior information system (IS) research. And how they are different from other case studies, which mainly focuses on larger organizations. The company is independent with international customers for whom they have developed IS software that they are now maintaining. All their development takes place in India with a small front-end in the US that works as a costumer liaison. My study shows a well functioning organization where the main challenges are attrition and knowledge transfer.nb_NO
