Sammendrag
This paper describes central theoretical concepts related to web services, service-oriented architecture, semantic web and Ontologies, focusing on the service composition mechanisms. It is discussed what the mechanisms really are, what they do, and how they can be implemented. References to ongoing research project are given. A Composition Framework using the core composition mechanisms are proposed and a Proof of Concept using this framework is implemented. The framework is created as general as possible using interfaces and known communication protocols. Our framework and architectural choices will be described, evaluated and tested. The testing focuses on time, memory usage and CPU usage.
