Abstract
In this thesis, a model predictive controller has been developed for the district heating network of Stjørdal. A model of the network and a model for the load prediction have also been developed for the MPC controller. The goal is to reduce the supply temperature from the plant, so one can minimize the heat losses in the network. The method is simulated for one day in February 2017 and is able to reduce the supply temperature from the plant.
