Konflikt i utbygging

Abstract

I denne casestudien har problemstillingen vært rettet mot holdninger, oppslutning og vektlegging av klima- og miljøhensyn i et utbyggingsprosjekt i Rana kommune. Oppgaven setter fokus på diskursive aspekter i dette hvor det eksister ulike forståelser og interesser. Dette blir drøftet i et politisk økologisk perspektiv, med grunnlag i teori knyttet til håndtering av naturinngrep og tiltak for å minimere negativ påvirkning på natur. Analysen er basert på dokumentanalyse og intervju, og funnene blir diskutert opp mot problemstillingen. Resultatet viser tilstedeværelsen av to overordnede hovedsynspunkter med to underordnede synspunkter, hvor det er stor forskjell i oppslutning og uenigheter om vektlegging av klima- og naturhensyn.

In this case study, the focus has been on attitudes, support, and emphasis on climate and environmental considerations in a development project in Rana municipality. The thesis highlights discursive aspects where there are different understandings and interests. This is discussed from a political ecological perspective, based on theory related to the management of nature interventions and measures to minimize negative impacts on nature. The analysis is based on document analysis and interviews, and the findings are discussed in relation to the issue at hand. The results indicate the presence of two overarching viewpoints with two subordinate perspectives, where there is a significant difference in support and disagreements regarding the emphasis on climate and nature considerations.
