Hvordan kan sosionomer i skolen bidra til å forebygge skadelig rusbruk hos ungdommer

Abstract

Målet med bacheloroppgaven er å undersøke hvordan en som sosionom kan bidra til å forebygge skadelig rusbruk hos ungdommer i skolen. Data ble samlet gjennom en litteraturstudie av artikler fra nyere dato samt noen faglige bøker. Dataene som ble funnet viser at det er flere risiko- og beskyttelsesfaktorer som påvirker rusmisbruk hos ungdommer. Det er dessuten mange skolebaserte programmer som jobber med å forebygge skadelig bruk i skolen .Selv om litteraturen ikke gir en klar føring på sosionomens rolle i det forebyggende arbeidet, er sosionoms etiske plikt og faglige perspektiv et virkemiddel for å tilrettelegge for at skolen skal være en beskyttende faktor mot rusbruk.

En gjennomgang av litteraturen viser at en som sosionom kan jobbe gjennom styrke perspektivet for å bidra til at ungdom får trivsel på skolen. Dette er ved å jobbe med bak underliggende motiver for rusmisbruk og eventuelt skadelig bruk. Det er gjennom beskyttelses perspektivet en sosionom kan bidra til å forebygge ved å styrke individets ressurser og tilrettelegging av miljøet rundt. En sosionom kan jobbe individuelt med den enkelte og kan samtidig påvirke omgivelsene ved å være synlig og aktiv i sosiale livet i skolen. En sosionom kan være en tillitsfull person gjennom å jobbe med relasjoner. I tillegg kan en sosionom samarbeide med foreldre gjennom familiebaserte tiltak for å redusere rusproblemer.

Bachelor's thesis aims to examine how a social worker can contribute to preventing harmful drug use among youth at school. Data was gathered through a literature study of articles from a recent date as well as some academic books. Data emphasizes that there are several risk and protective factors that influence youth substance abuse. There are also many school-based programs that work to prevent harmful use at schools. Although the literature does not provide clear guidance for the social worker's role in the preventive work, will the social worker's ethical duty and professional perspective be a means of facilitating the school to be a protective factor against drug use.

A review of the literature shows that a social worker can work through strengthening the perspective to contribute to the youth's well-being at school by working with the underlying motives behind substance abuse and possibly harmful use. A social worker can contribute to prevention through a protective perceptive, that is by strengthening the individual's resources and facilitating the surrounding environment. A social worker can work individually with the individual and at the same time can influence the environment by being visible and active in social processes at school. A social worker can be a trustworthy person through working with relationships. In addition, a social worker can work with parents through family-based measures/interventions to reduce substance abuse problems among youths.
