InnledningStudien undersøker hvordan kommune-ergoterapeuter i Norge jobber med barn og unge med CP. I undersøkelsen blir det fokusert på hvordan ergoterapeuter kan tilrettelegge for aktivitet og deltakelse.
Problemstilling “Hvordan kan kommune-ergoterapeuter bidra til aktivitet og deltakelse for barn og unge med Cerebral parese?"
MetodeStudien har en kvalitativ tilnærming, der det ble benyttet kvalitative forskningsintervju som metode. Det er gjennomført fire individuelle intervju med kommune-ergoterapeuter fra ulike kommuner i Norge.
Resultat Ergoterapeutene fokuserer på å tilrettelegge for mestring av dagliglivets aktiviteter og fremme deltakelse i samfunnet. Tiltakene som ergoterapeutene setter i gang baseres på motivasjonen, behovene og ønskene til barnet. Det settes fokus på relasjonsbygging og tidlig intervensjon, der ergoterapeuten samarbeider tverrfaglig med andre yrkesgrupper.
Konklusjon Studien belyser betydningen av helhetlig og individuell tilnærming til behandling av barn og unge med CP, der tidlig intervensjon, samarbeid, fokus på motivasjon og deltakelse står sentralt. Abstract

Background The study examines how municipal occupational therapists in Norway work with children and young people with CP. The survey focuses on how occupational therapists can facilitate activity and participation.
Research question “How can municipal occupational therapists contribute to activity and participation for children and youth with cerebral palsy?”
Method The study has a qualitative approach, where qualitative interviews were used as a method. Four individual interviews were conducted with municipal occupational therapists from various municipalities in Norway.
ResultsThe occupational therapists focus on facilitating mastery of the activities of daily life and promoting participation in society. The measures that the occupational therapists initiate is based on the motivation, needs and wishes of the child. The focus is on relationship building and early intervention, where the occupational therapist collaborates interdisciplinary with other professional groups.
ConclusionThe study highlights the importance of a comprehensive and individual approach to the treatment of children and young people with CP, where early intervention, collaboration, focus on motivation and participation are central.
