This report addresses the exploration and reflections on rave music composed for a multichannel system. The project has been conducted as a musical exploration of the multichannel system and its potential as a compositional tool when writing music. To explore surround sound without using experience and references from one's own musical background, the music is composed in the genre of rave music, allowing more room to explore the possibilities of electronic sound sources with multichannel audio. The result is three compositions to be performed on stage, showcasing different methods of composing rave music, using various techniques in surround sound to highlight contrasts and expand the listening experience. The outcome of the project is based on the learning process surrounding the multichannel system and the rave music genre, which is reflected in the compositions and the report.
