Støtteordning til norsk film

Abstract

Denne bacheloroppgaven har som mål å utforske støtten som tilbys det norske produksjonslandskapet innen filmindustrien, samt de målene som denne støtten tar sikte på å oppnå. Ved å se på historien bak støtteordningene til norsk film og en analyse av Norsk Filminstitutts (NFI) tildeling av støtte til norsk filmproduksjon, søker jeg å belyse de overordnede ambisjonene for norske filmer og produksjoner. Metoden til oppgaven baserer seg på analysen av historisk og økonomisk kartlegging av hvordan støtteordninger har tildelt støtte til kunstneriske og kommersielle filmer gjennom tidene. Den innsamlede informasjonen vil deretter bli benyttet til å utforske hvordan disse ordningene påvirker lavbudsjettsfilmer gjennom et intervju med en regissør. Målet med denne oppgaven er å bidra til forståelsen av hvordan norske filmer og produksjoner kategoriseres og formes av de økonomiske og institusjonelle rammeverkene som offentlige og regionale filmfond legger til rette for.

This bachelor's thesis aims to explore the support offered to the Norwegian production landscape within the film industry, as well as the goals that this support aims to achieve. By looking at the history behind the support schemes for Norwegian film and an analysis of the Norwegian Film Institute's (NFI) allocation of support for Norwegian film production, I seek to shed light on the overall ambitions for Norwegian films and productions. The method of the thesis is based on the analysis of historical and economic mapping of how support schemes have allocated support to artistic and commercial films throughout the ages. The collected information will then be used to explore how these schemes affect low-budget films through an interview with a director. This thesis aims to contribute to the understanding of how Norwegian films and productions are categorized and shaped by the financial and institutional frameworks that public and regional film funds provide.
