Oppgaven tar for seg to spenner fra gården Hol på Inderøya fra folkevandringstiden, med fokus på å utforske symbolikken og betydningen av dyreornamentikk på disse to spennene. Spennene er fra en kvinnegrav, og oppgaven utforsker også hvilken makt kvinnen i graven hadde. Oppgaven tar utgangspunkt i en grundig analyse av spennenes utforming, materialer og dekorasjon, med særlig vekt på dyreornamentikken og dens potensielle symbolikk.

The assignment deals with two fibulas from the farm Hol on Inderøya from the migration period, with a focus on exploring the symbolism and meaning of animal ornamentation on these two fibulas. The fibulas are from a woman's grave, and the thesis also explores what power the woman in the grave had. The assignment is based on a thorough analysis of the fibulas' design, materials and decoration, with particular emphasis on the animal ornamentation and its potential symbolism.
