Oppstuen fra Engelsjord

Abstract

Denne bacheloroppgaven ser på hvordan flytting av huset Oppstuen fra Engelsjord til friluftsmuseet på Sverresborg i 1928 gjøres. Oppgaven gjør rede for problemet med å bruke begrep som autentisitet knyttet til prosessen, som ikke var utbredt brukt tiden før flyttingen. Oppgaven forsøker å knytte de ulike meningene om museets oppgave, som oppstår på slutten av 1800-tallet, opp mot de valgene som tas for å plassere oppstuen inn i museets samling. Tilslutt ser en at Wilhelm Lund er påvirket av Arthur Hazelius' Skansen, men mener at den regionale identiteten er viktigst å bevare.

This bachelor's thesis looks at how the relocation of the farmhouse Oppstuen from Engelsjord to the open-air museum at Sverresborg in 1928 was done. The thesis explore the problem of using terms such as authenticity linked to the process, which was not widely used in the time before the move tok place. The thesis attempts to link the different opinions about the museum's mission, which arose at the end of the 19th century, to the choices made to place the oppstue in the museum's collection. Finally, one sees that Wilhelm Lund is influenced by Arthur Hazelius' Skansen, but believes that the regional identity is most important to preserve.
