Å klippe frem følelser i sanntid. En praktisk-teoretisk utforskning av hvordan klipping i sanntid kan påvirke tilskuerens emosjoner

Abstract

Denne masteravhandlingen tar utgangspunkt i klippeprosessen av Planene vi aldri la (Strømholm 2024) og bruker autoetnografisk metode til å utforske hvordan klipping i sanntid påvirker tilskuerens emosjonelle reaksjon. Med støttende filmvitenskapelig teori og kunnskap fra filmpraktikere, reflekterer artikkelen over sammenhengen mellom kunstnerisk praksis og sluttproduktet. Avhandlingen finner at bruken av klipperens blunk til å klippe i sanntid har skapt et meddiktingsrom som har fått tilskueren til å føle hjertesorg i et lavbudsjetts relasjonsdrama.

This master’s thesis is based on the process of editing the film Planene vi aldri la (Strømholm 2024) and uses autoethnographic method to explore how cutting in real time affects the audience’s emotions. By using film studies and knowledge from film practitioners, this article reflects on the connection between Arts Praxis and the final product. The thesis finds that the use of the editor’s blink to cut in real time has created a co-fictional space that has made it possible for the audience to feel heartbreak in a low-budget relationship drama.
