Utilsiktede flyttinger fra fosterhjem

Abstract

Formålet med denne bacheloroppgaven er å belyse tema om utilsiktede flyttinger fra fosterhjem med følgende problemstilling: Hva er årsakene til utilsiktede flyttinger, og hvordan kan det forebygges? Oppgaven legger vekt på forholdene knyttet mot fosterbarna, situasjonen i fosterhjemmet og samarbeidet med barneverntjenesten for å belyse årsakene til flyttingene. Forskning viser at barn og unge som har store atferdsvansker har større risiko for utilsiktede flyttinger, og at utilsiktede flyttinger medfører til ytterligere belastninger for barnet eller ungdommen. Samtidig kom det frem at informasjon om barnet i forkant, godt samarbeid, stabilitet og kontinuitet er nødvendig for å forebygge utilsiktede flyttinger fra fosterhjem. Forebygging handler om det å unngå feilplasseringer i fosterhjemmene, men også om å klargjøre fosterforeldrene, samt veilede og tilrettelegge fosterhjemmene. The purpose with this bachelor thesis is to shed light on the topic of unintentional relocation from foster care with the following issue: What are the causes of unintentional relocation, and how can it be prevented? The assignment emphasizes the conditions relating to the foster children, the situation in the foster home and the collaboration with the child protection service to shed light on the reasons for the moves. Research shows that children and young people who have severe behavioral difficulties have a higher risk of unintentional relocation, and that unintentional relocation lead to additional burdens for the child or young person. At the same time, it emerged that information about the child in advance, good cooperation, stability and continuity are necessary to prevent unintentional relocation from foster homes. Prevention is about avoiding wrong placements in foster homes, but also about preparing the foster parents, as well as guiding and facilitating the foster homes.
