Muligheter og begrensninger for utvikling av Oppdal som et bærekraftig naturbasert reisemål

Abstract

Denne oppgaven skrives i samarbeid med Nasjonalparken Næringshage og i forbindelse med utviklingen av en ny besøksstrategi for Oppdal. Oppgaven tar for seg kvaliteter og verdier ved Oppdal, som skaper muligheter for utvikling av Oppdal som et bærekraftig naturbasert reisemål. Det naturbaserte reiselivet bærer med seg økonomiske, miljømessige og sosiokulturelle virkninger, både positive og negative. Negative virkninger kan føre til utfordringer eller trusler for Oppdal som reisemål. Dersom disse ikke håndteres, vil det kunne oppstå begrensninger i utviklingen av det naturbaserte reiselivet. I dette tilfellet er de miljømessige virkningene av hytteutbygging et sentralt tema som utfordrer målet om en bærekraftig utvikling.

This bachelor thesis is written in collaboration with Nasjonalparken Næringshage and is part of the development of a tourism strategy for Oppdal. The assignment deals with qualities and values of Oppdal, which create opportunities for the development of Oppdal as a sustainable nature-based destination. Nature-based tourism entails economic, environmental, and socio-cultural impacts, both positive and negative. The negative ones can lead to challenges or threats to Oppdal as a destination. If these are not addressed, they can impose limitations on the development of nature-based tourism. In this case, the environmental impacts of the development in second homes are a central issue that challenges the sustainability.
