This is a case study of the security situation surrounding the North Sea and the influencing factors that have led to changes over time. The study is based on a thematic document analysis of 5 documents. The study reveals persistent vulnerabilities related to the security state of organizations with classified information and communication systems, and that the green transition in Europe may exert increased pressure on the infrastructure in the area. The analysis indicates that the security situation has deteriorated since the decision to build the North Sea Link, highlighting the need to develop strategies and recommendations to address these vulnerabilities and enhance the energy security and reliability of international power infrastructure. This will be valuable for anyone seeking to gain insights into the security situation surrounding the North Sea Link and its potential implications for the future of the region.
