Kommunikasjon med barn i møte med barnevernet

Abstract

Sammendrag Kommunikasjon er en stor og viktig del av barnevernsarbeidet. I min bacheloroppgave ønsker jeg å belyse barnevernets arbeid knyttet til kommunikasjon med barn, med utgangspunkt i følgende problemstilling: Hvordan kan barnevernspedagogen legge til rette for at barn forteller sin historie i barnesamtalen? Hvordan kan samtalemetoder være et nyttig verktøy? Teorien enes om viktigheten av å skape en god relasjon med barnet så tidlig som mulig, slik at barnet føler nok tillitt og trygghet til å åpne seg opp. Kommunikasjon er et stort og komplekst tema, oppgaven er derfor begrenset til kommunikasjon med barn i undersøkende og avdekkende samtaler. Hvordan kan barnevernspedagogen møte barnets behov uten å kjenne det og er metoder et nyttig verktøy for å oppnå dette? I denne bacheloren er metoden for litteraturstudie benyttet. Gjennom funn av relevant teori og forskning presenteres sentrale temaer og aspekter ved problemstillingen min. Nøkkelord: kommunikasjon, barnesamtale, samtalemetode

Abstract Communications is an important part of the children welfare work. In this bachelor thesis I will investigate children welfare considering a communication perspective and try to answer the following issue: How can child welfare workers support children so that they share their stories? How can communication methods be a useful tool? The theory shows the importance to create a good relationship as early as possible, to establish trust and safety to ease the process of opening up to the children welfare. Communication is a big and complex theme, so the assignment will be limited to communication with children in initial investigation conversations. How can the welfare worker meet the children needs without knowing the child? How can the methods be a useful tool to achieve this? Literature study methods have been applied to this bachelor thesis. Fundamental themes and aspects answering my issue have been found through relevant theories and research. Keywords: communication, conversations with children, communication methods
