Hvordan skal man ivareta behovene til barn på krisesenter, og blir disse behovene tilfredsstilt?

Abstract

Denne bacheloroppgaven tar for seg barn som har blitt utsatt for vold i nære relasjoner, og ivaretakelse av disse barnene på krisesenter. Problemstillingen som er knyttet til dette litteraturstudie er: «Hvordan skal man ivareta behovene til barn på krisesenter, og blir disse behovene tilfredsstilt?». Problemstillingen drøftes i lys av teori og forskning på feltet. Hensikten med oppgaven er å undersøke barns behov når de kommer til krisesenteret, med en bakgrunn av at de har blitt utsatt for vold i en nær relasjon i hjemmet. Her vil jeg komme inn på viktigheten av en strukturert oppfølging med tilbud og tiltak, som er tilpasset hvert enkelt barns behov. Dermed vil jeg se dette i lys av traumebevisst omsorg, som er en konkret metode. Jeg vil også undersøke om krisesenter imøtekommer barnas behov, og hvilke tiltak de tilbyr barn på krisesenter. Her vil jeg fokusere på å se etter om tilbudene til barn er tilstrekkelig. På bakgrunn av dette, vil jeg drøfte hva som kan gjøre at tilbud til barn ikke er tilstrekkelig. Avslutningsvis vil oppgaven fremheve et behov for kompetansehevning, og at det er nødvendig med et økende barneperspektiv, hvor barn ses på som en egen brukergruppe.

This bachelor's thesis will address children who have been exposed to violence in close relations, and how to care for these children in the crisis centers. Therefore, the thesis statement to this literature study is: «How should the needs of children in crisis centers be taken care of, and are these needs being met? ». The issue is explored in the context of relevant theories and research in the field. The purpose of the thesis is to examine the needs of children when they arrive at the crisis center, with a background of having been exposed to violence in a close relation at home. I will discuss the importance of a structured follow-up with offers adapted to each child's needs. Thus, I will view this in the light of trauma informed care, which is a concrete method. I will also examine whether the crisis center meets the needs of children, and what measures they offer children in the crisis center and focus on whether the offers to children are adequate. Accordingly, I will discuss what can make offers to children inadequate. Finally, the thesis will highlight a need for increased competence and the necessity of an increased child perspective, where children are seen as an individual user group.
