dc.description.abstract | This bachelor thesis explores whether the technical analysis strategy «simple moving average» can be utilized to generate risk-adjusted excess returns on the Oslo Stock Exchange. A three-factor model is employed, using Ordinary Least Squares to examine the alpha of a historical model portfolio. Two sample periods are used: 2010 to 2015, and 2015 to 2022. The analysis did not find a significant positive alfa in both sample periods.
