Håndtering og forståelse av ungdom med rusproblematikk

Abstract

Denne oppgaven omhandler rusfeltets kompleksitet og ulike måter rusmisbruk har blitt forstått opp gjennom tidene. Metoden som har blitt anvendt er litteraturstudie. Oppgaven drøfter hvorvidt rusmisbruk blant ungdommer kan regnes som en lært atferd, eller om det er et uttrykk for en sykdomstilstand. Gjennom søk i «Oria», «Google Scholar» og «Idunn» har jeg kommet frem til litteratur som er med på å belyse problemstillingen. I min avgrensning av oppgaven har jeg valgt å ha et fokus på ulike ruskollektiv, samt deres måte å forstå og håndtere rusmisbrukende ungdom på. Oppgaven tar også for seg begrepet «medikalisering» som en forståelse av hva rusmisbruk er og hvordan redusere effektene av misbruket blant ungdom. Både ruskollektivenes metode og forståelse av hva rusmisbruk er, samt medikamentell forståelse og oppfølging, har begge elementer som på en god måte er med på å forklare rusmisbruk.

The topic for this thesis is about the understandings of the complexity of drugabuse, and how drug abuse has been understood throughout the ages. The method that has been applied for this thesis is literature studies. The thesis discusses whether adolescent substance abuse is a learned behavior or a symptom of a medical condition. Throughout search among «Oria», Google Scholar» and «Idunn», i have found literature that contributes to shed light on the topic. I have defined the task of focusing on several collectives for adolescent drug abusers and their understanding and managing of the problem. The thesis bring up the the term «medikalisering» as a form of understanding what drug abuse really is, and how to reduce the effects of substance abuse among adolescents. Both the collectives for adolescent drug abusers methods and understanding of what drug abuse is, as well as the medical understanding and treatment, may have good ways to understand substance abuse.
