Kan kognitiv miljøterapi være et bedre alternativ til traumebevisst omsorg i det miljøterapeutiske arbeidet med utviklingstraumatisert ungdom på barnevernsinstitusjoner?

Abstract

Temaet som belyses i denne bacheloroppgaven er det miljøterapeutiske arbeidet med utviklingstraumatiserte ungdom i barnevernsinstitusjoner, med fokus på tilnærmingene kognitiv miljøterapi og traumebevisst omsorg. Problemstillingen er følgende: Kan kognitiv miljøterapi være et bedre alternativ til traumebevisst omsorg i det miljøterapeutiske arbeidet med utviklingstraumatisert ungdom på barnevernsinstitusjoner? Metoden som er brukt i denne oppgaven er litteraturstudie. I søkeprosessen etter relevant teori har jeg brukt nettsider som «oria», «Idunn», «google» og ulike fagbøker og sett på dataen jeg har samlet inn med et kildekritisk blikk. Kognitiv miljøterapi og traumebevisst omsorg er to tilnærminger innenfor miljøterapeutisk arbeid som begge skal bidra til å skape endring i det miljøterapeutiske arbeidet på en barnevernsinstitusjon. I oppgaven drøfter jeg og sammenligner disse tilnærmingene i lys av teori og ulike teoretiske perspektiver som jeg har funnet gjennom datainnsamlingen for å svare på problemstillingen.

The topic that is highlighted in this bachelor`s thesis is the environmental therapeutic work with developmentally traumatized youth in child welfare institutions, with focus on cognitive environmental therapy and trauma-conscious care as approaches. The following issue in this thesis is: Can cognitive environmental therapy be a better option to trauma-conscious care in the environmental therapeutic work with developmentally traumatized youths in child welfare institutions? The method used in this thesis is literature review. In the process searching for relevant theory, I have used websites such as “Oria”, “Idunn”, “google” and various subject books and looked at the data I have collected with a critical eye to sources. Cognitive environmental therapy and trauma- conscious care are two approaches within environmental therapeutic work, both of which will contribute to creating change in the environmental therapeutic work at a child welfare institution. In my thesis, I discuss and compare these approaches in light of theory and different theoretical perspectives that I have found through the data collection to answer the issue.
