Abstract

Demokratiske holdninger til likestilling var ansett som nytenkning i samfunnet på 1800- og 1900-tallet. Kjønnsrollene satte et sterkt preg og skille på samfunnsordningene, men gjennom omveltningen til et mer liberalt og demokratisk samfunn måtte holdninger om kjønnsroller endres. Social-demokraten var en av de største avisene i Norge for sin tid. Avisen tok opp både internasjonale og nasjonale hendelser og nyheter. Paragraf 52d fra den norske grunnloven fra 1814 forteller om hvordan en borger mister sin stemmerett gjennom å mota fattigdomsstøtte fra staten. Mange kvinner i perioden før denne paragrafen ble opphevet mistet sin stemmerett siden de mottok denne støtten. Hvilke holdninger blir presentert om kvinners stemmerett i perioden 1913 til 1919?
