Europeisk integrasjon & De norske Stortingspartier: En multimetodisk analyse

Abstract

I Norge har vi mange ulike formeninger om Den europeiske union (EU). Formeningene finner ofte sted hos stortingspartiene som kjemper en interessekamp rundt tematikken. I dag ser vi et endret bilde i den norske EU-debatten, og spørsmålet vil uten tvil ha flere elementer og dimensjoner enn kun «Ja» og «Nei» til EU. I denne teksten utforskes partisammensetningen og de brede perspektiver som spørsmålet omfatter. Dette gjøres gjennom en multimetodisk analyse av aktørene i debatten med formål om å ytterligere belyse temaet. Nøkkelelementer for analysen innebærer undersøkelse av partienes arbeidsprogram, samt Chapel Hill Expert Survey fra 2014 og 2019

Norway’s stance on the European Union (EU) is characterized by a diverse range of views. The issue frequently sparks conflicting interests among the Storting parties, leading to the emergence of different opinions of unique natures. The current Norwegian EU debate is complex and goes beyond a simple “yes” or “no” response. To shed more light on this subject, this text conducts a multi-method analysis of the participants involved, taking into account the party makeup and various viewpoints on the matter. This is done by making use of the party manifestos in combination with the Chapel Hill Expert Survey from 2014 and 2019.
