konsulentselskaper under Covid-19.
konsulentselskaper under Covid-19?
dc.description.abstract | This bachelor thesis aims to investigate what we can learn from managers of consulting
companies during Covid-19. I want to talk to managers in these companies to uncover what
problems they have encountered during forced home office, how they handle hybrid home-office
and what they think about the future regarding the same problems. To examine this, I have
chosen the following problem: What teachings can we take from the experiences of managers in
the management of technical consultancy companies during Covid-19?
I chose to investigate this topic because I am deeply interested in technical consulting companies
and the technical development, especially in relation to the forced home office's aftermath from
covid-19. The survey is based on in-depth interviews of two managers for each of their
respective consulting companies. These companies are relatively similar, but differ in some
areas. This is to be able to compare their experience of the home office. Based on these
interviews, I have established 3 main aspects that I want to focus on. The biggest of these is
company culture, before we get into efficiency and communication and office space. The
interviews were conducted and designed in such a way that the managers could organically
present the problems they had experienced.
To illuminate this thesis, I have drawn theory from 4 main fields. Management, communication,
motivation and organization. After the analysis, it turns out that much of what the managers say
in relation to home offices has broad consensus in theory. I will analyze my findings from the indepth interviews with this theory, while also trying to conclude my own solutions to the
problems. It turns out, however, that the solutions to most aspects of the problem lie in the
company culture, and the employee's sense of belonging to the company.
