dc.description.abstract | In this bachelor thesis I discuss critically about my artistic practice and ask how trauma possible can be released through art as art therapy. Starting from my artistic drawing process, I further investigate whether this process can be used as a tool in art therapy during trauma treatment. I discuss the use of trauma treatment from the medical world’s perspective in the form of EMDR- treatment and drawing and painting techniques from the art therapy treatment. Furthermore, I investigate the possibility of connecting these treatment methods more close to each other, and if art as therapy can be used in a traditional art context within galleries and museums.
