Textile has a significant impact on the environment. Because of fast fashion, the quantity of used textiles is growing, while their quality is deteriorating. On top of that, the current textile sorting system is very effective. This indicates that the majority of used textiles are disposed of through the process of incineration. On the other hand, reusing and recycling textiles has the potential to save more than 50 percent of textiles from being made from residual waste and small combustibles. As a result, improving the quality of used textiles is necessary if one wishes to lessen the textile industry's impact on the surrounding environment. As a result, we will concentrate on the following research question throughout this study: "What is the effect of a two-bin collection system for end-of-life textiles?". In order to find answers to the research question, we conducted a literature review on the relevant topic in the textile circular supply chain, quality, sorting and collection, and location of the collection. The case company is a Non-governmental Organization (NGO) that collects and resells the used textile. They launched a pilot project in one of the cities in Norway in three different locations and implemented two separate collection bins for used textiles. One bin is for reusable textiles, and another is for recyclable textiles. A literature study was conducted to support the discussion on developing an effective collection process of used textiles. The data gathered by the company was analyzed to answer the research question on the effect of collecting used textiles in the two-bin system. The proposition is that convenience is one of the keys that can increase the residents' willingness to use the new system. Several literature point out that placing the bins together with other waste bins can increase the collections. While the finding for the research question is that there is no effect found on implementing two-bin system for used textile collection. The indication of an increase or decrease in the ability of the residents to sort textiles is not found.
