Wes Anderson is a film director who has proved through 10 feature films to have a unique visual style. Of these stylistic features colour is perhaps one of the most dominant forces of his storytelling, mood and tone. In this essay, I will argue that his use of colour is present and deliberate in every single of his films, as well as examine to what extent Wes Anderson fulfills the role as an auteur in the context of signature.
