En undersøkelse av to perioder i japansk TV- og filmhistorie og deres innflytelse på vestlig kultur

Abstract

Målet med dette forskningsprosjektet er å undersøke hvilke bevisste og ubevisste valg enkeltpersoner, distribueringsplattformer og produksjonsselskap i Japan har tatt for å oppnå internasjonal suksess i form av TV- og filmkultur. Oppgaven vil nevne en rekke forskjellige epoker i japansk filmhistorie, men fokusere på to gullaldere innenfor globalisering av japanske TV-serier og filmer, nemlig 1950-1960 og 1980-2005.

The aim of this research project is to investigate the conscious and unconscious choices individuals, distribution platforms and production companies in Japan have made to achieve international success in the form of TV and film culture. The thesis will mention a number of different eras in Japanese film history, but focus on two golden ages in the globalization of Japanese TV series and films, namely 1950-1960 and 1980-2005.
