Rapporten viser at begge alternativene presenterer tiltak for langsiktig økt forsyningsikker-het. Alternativ 2 vil i større grad øke forsyningssikkerheten i området men dettemedfører imidlertid at investeringskostnadene blir betydelig høyere enn besparelsene. Society’s future electrical consumption requires a better security of supply. This thesis addres-ses the possibilities for an increased security of supply for the distribution grid around Osen-sjøen. This is based on grid interruptions and prognosis predictions about higher powerrequirements in the area. The thesis considers if developing two alternative grid solutionswill contribute to a higher security of supply, and takes the significance of the outcome forthe alternatives in account.Simulations used in the thesis for the basis of technical decisions are simulated using Net-Bas software. The economical outcomes are calculated using digital tools from REN andNVE. Alternative 1 examines a connection between Osan and Trysil transformer stations, that contributes to an increased security of supply. Alternative 2 examines establishing anew radial from Osan transformer station. This supplies the east side of lake Osensjøen andcontributes to both unloading the existing radial and increasing the security of supply. Thepresent value of the existing grid expenses are separately calculated, and compared to thepresent value calculations of expenses for the new investments. This portrays potential sa-vings for developing the alternatives. The thesis shows that both alternatives present long-term measures for improving the securityof supply. Alternative 1 by including the N-1 criteria and unloading parts of the grid, witha high benefit to cost value. Alternative 2 by including the N-1 criteria but unloading grea-ter parts of the grid, to a higher cost. The conclusion states that alternative 1 should bedeveloped based on the calculations, despite the limited increasing of the security of supply.Alternative 2 will implement a higher increase in security of supply in the area, but entailsa higher investment cost.
