Hvordan skader vold fra omsorgspersoner barns utvikling og fungering?

Denne bacheloroppgaven belyser problemstillingen «hvordan skader vold fra omsorgspersoner barns utvikling og fungering». Oppgaven drøfter de psykiske, fysiske og sosiale utfordringene barn kan møte på når de vokser opp med vold, i forhold til barns utvikling og fungering. Basert på drøftingen antyder det at barn som vokser opp med vold fra omsorgspersoner kan utvikle flere utfordringer som skader barns utvikling og fungering. I denne oppgaven belyses og diskuteres temaer som tilknytning, utviklingspsykologi, traumer og psykiske lidelser. Oppgaven belyser hvordan sentrale utviklingsprosesser for barn blir utfordrende å mestre, når man mangler støtte, trygghet og tillit til sine omsorgspersoner. Å vokse opp med trygge omsorgspersoner som støtter og engasjerer barnets utvikling, er en viktig faktor for å kunne utvikle seg «riktig» i forhold til teori og barns utvikling og fungering. Oppgaven er en litteraturstudie, og er basert på en utviklingsteoretisk forståelse og forskning i bruk av ulik former av litteratur.

How does violence from children’s caregivers harm their development and functioning?

This thesis highlights the research question “how does violence from caregiver’s damage children´s development and functioning?” The thesis discusses the psychological, physical, and social challenges children can experience growing up with violence, in terms of children´s development and functioning. The discussion done in this thesis suggests that children who grow up with violence committed by caregivers can develop multiple challenges which hurt their development and functioning. Highlighted and discussed are themes of attachment, developmental psychology, trauma, mental disorders. Also highlighted are how central development processes for children become difficult to manage when lacking support, safety and trust in their caregivers. To grow up with safe caregivers who support and engage in their child´s development, is an important factor to be able to develop “correctly” in terms of theory and children´s development and functioning. This thesis is a literature study and is based on development theory´s understanding and research in use of different forms of literature.
