Utfordringar knytt til foreldresamarbeid og kommunikasjon i barnevernundersøkinga.

Abstract

Temaet eg ynskte å arbeide med er utfordringar knytt til foreldresamarbeid og kommunikasjon i barnevernundersøkinga. Difor valde eg problemstillinga: «Er mangel på informasjon og kommunikasjon med foreldre i undersøkingsfasen svekkande for barnevernets mogelegheit til å få til godt foreldresamarbeid?»

Dei kommunale barneverntenestene samarbeider med foreldre i undersøkingsfasen både for å innhente informasjon som kan belyse saka, og for å bygge ein trygg relasjon for vidare samarbeid dersom familien skal få tiltak frå barneverntenesta etter avslutta undersøking. I denne oppgåva ser eg på foreldre si oppleving av informasjon frå og kommunikasjon med barneverntenesta i undersøkingsfasen og korleis dette har innverknad på foreldresamarbeidet.

Metoden nytta i denne oppgåva er litteraturstudie. Eg har funne relevante forskingsartiklar og faglitteratur som drøftar problematikken for å løfte fram dei mest sentrale fagområda knytt opp mot problemstillinga mi.

The topic I wanted to investigate was challenges related to parent collaboration and communication in the child welfare services investigation phase. Therefore, I chose the issue: "Is the lack of information and communication with parents in the investigation phase weakening the child welfare service's ability to bring about good parental cooperation?"

The municipal child welfare services cooperate with parents in the investigation phase both to obtain information that can shed light on the case, and to build a secure relationship for further cooperation if the family is to receive measures from the child welfare services after the investigation has ended. In this thesis, I look at parents' experience of information from and communication with the child welfare service in the investigation phase and how this has an impact on parent collaboration.

The useful method in this thesis is literature study. I have found relevant research articles and professional literature that discuss the issues in order to highlight the most central themes related to my problem.
