Formidling av nyheter om COVID-19 til barn

Abstract

Denne bacheloroppgaven har undersøkt hvordan koronaviruset har blitt formidlet til barn av NRK Supernytt sammenlignet med BBC Newsround, og om de har klart å formidle viruset på en måte som ikke virker skremmende, men som samtidig er opplysende og troverdig. Ved bruk av en kvalitativ innholdsanalyse har jeg forsket på et område det foreløpig ikke er svært mye forskning på enda, noe som gjorde oppgaven meget interessant og spennende å gjennomføre. Jeg anvendte relevant teori for å utforme og utføre en analyse, for så å diskutere resultatet i lys av det teoretiske grunnlaget i oppgaven. Avslutningsvis oppsummerer jeg oppgaven og konkluderer med min tolkning av resultatet og besvarer problemstillingen stilt innledningsvis.

This bachelor thesis has researched how the corona virus has been portrayed to the children by NRK Supernytt compared to BBC Newsround, and whether they have managed to portray the virus in a non-frightening manner, but at the same time educate them. Using qualitative content analysis, I have done research in an area that is not researched that much yet, which made the task very interesting and exciting to work with. I have used relevant theory to design and perform analyzes, and furthermore to discuss it with theoretical basis of the thesis. In conclusion, I summarize my thesis and conclude the problem to be addressed in the beginning of the thesis.
