Regnskapsanalyse av Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace AS

Abstract

I denne semesteroppgaven har vi gjennomført en regnskapsanalyse og en strategisk analyse av Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace AS med fokus på lønnsomhet. Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace AS er en spennende industribedrift med lang historie, som har spilt en sentral rolle i industrialiseringen av Norge. Oppgavens formål er å få en bedre forståelse av den økonomiske utviklingen i bedriften for perioden 2015-2019. I tillegg gir den strategiske analysen et godt innblikk i bedriftens utfordringer og muligheter.

Regnskapsanalysen har gitt oversikt over bedriftens generelle økonomiske situasjon over tid og dens utvikling. I analysen av den økonomiske utviklingen har vi sett på regnskapstall hentet fra www.proff.no for perioden 2015-2019. Vi har sett på bedriftens lønnsomhet, likviditet, soliditet og finansiering. Analysen inneholder også en bedriftssammenligning med Nammo Raufoss AS. Bedriftssammenligningen er gjennomført som en sammenlignende regnskapsanalyse for perioden 2015 til 2019. Bedriftssammenligningen er gjennomført for å få en bedre forståelse av utviklingen i bransjen.

Nøkkeltallene for lønnsomheten til Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace AS viser at lønnsomheten har hatt en negativ utvikling i de tre første årene av perioden, men at lønnsomheten har forbedret seg i slutten av perioden. Regnskapsanalysen har vist at Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace AS har hatt forholdsvis svak lønnsomhet i perioden sammenlignet med Nammo Raufoss AS. Likviditeten har hatt en negativ utvikling med unntak av i 2019. Nammo Raufoss AS har hatt en bedre likviditet enn Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace i perioden. Soliditeten og finansieringen har også vært bedre for Nammo Raufoss AS.

This term paper includes a financial statement analysis, and a strategic analysis of Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace AS. Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace AS is an exciting industrial company with a long history that has played a central role in the industrialization of Norway. The purpose of the term paper is to gain a better understanding of the financial development in the company for the period of 2015-2019. The strategic analysis provides good insight into the company's challenges and opportunities as an addition to the financial statement analysis.

The financial statement analysis has provided an overview of the company's general financial situation over time, and its development. In the analysis of the economic development, we have looked at the accounting figures obtained from www.Proff.no for the period of 2015-2019. We have looked at the company's profitability, liquidity, solvency, and financing. The analysis also contains a company comparison with Nammo Raufoss AS. The company comparison has been carried out as a comparative financial statement analysis for the period of 2015 to 2019. The comparison of the two companies is carried out to get a better understanding of the economic development in the industry.

The key figures for the profitability of Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace AS show that the profitability has had a negative development in the first three years of the period, but that profitability has improved at the end of the period. The financial statement analysis has shown that Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace AS has had a relatively weak profitability during the period, compared with Nammo Raufoss AS. The liquidity has had a negative development except for in 2019. Nammo Raufoss AS has had better liquidity than Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace during the period. The solvency and financing have also been better for Nammo Raufoss AS.
