Abstract

Denne bacheloroppgaven diskuterer hva som kjennetegner nutidens forståelse av Peder Balkes senere landskapsmaleri, med utgangspunkt i maleriet Nordkapp. Teksten skriver om Balkes romantiske kunst, og hva som kjennetegner den, i tillegg til å drøfte om hvilke deler av Nordkapp som kan oppfattes som moderne og abstrakt. Teksten skriver også litt om utstillingen i TKM som Nordkapp er en del av

This bachelor thesis discusses what characterises the current times understanding of Peder Balkes later landscape paintings, by focusing on the painting Nordkapp. The text writes about Balkes romantic art, and what there is that characterises it, in addition to discussing which parts of Nordkapp can be perceived as modern and abstract. The text also writes about the exhibition in TKM which Nordkapp is a part of
