Projeksjonar: scenografi, medspelar eller distraksjon? - Om projisert materiale i scenekunst

Abstract

Korleis snakkar vi om scenekunst som inneheld projeksjonar? Kva hender når ein i ein performativ situasjon vel å ta inn materiale som er preprodusert og daudt? Ved å sjå på eksisterande teoriar, historia til filmmediet på scena og på bruk av projeksjonar i scenekunst i samtida forsøker eg finne enkle analyseverktøy for å forstå sceniske verk med projeksjonar. Eit mål er å skape eit like nyansert språk for å kunne snakke om projeksjonar i scenekunst som det vi har for å snakke om tekst på scena. Philip Auslander sitt Liveness-omgrep står sentralt saman med m.a. Hans-Thies Lehmann sine teoriar om det prostdramatiske teateret. Gjennom analyser av tre ulike verk blir analysekategoriane testa. Det verkspesifikke visar seg styre analysa like mykje som blikket på det intermediale i projeksjonane.

How do we percieve plays and performances who contain projections? What happens to a performative situation when preproduced and dead material is a major part of what is percieved by the audience. Through existing theories, a glance at the history of projected material on stage and by trying to categorize the use of projections in contemporary performances I attempt to create tools for analysis and for conversation about the subject. Philip Auslanders book on Liveness from 1999 is a good source for starting a discussion about what happenes. Another important name is Hans-Thies Lehmann with his theories on postdramatic theatre. Through analyzing three different plays where projections are an important part the categories are tested. The inherent qualities of each play or dancepiece prooves to be just as important for understanding the projections part in the context as the specific take on projecions
