Riss bør i hver fall unngås i slike marine områder da betongen vil bli utsatt for klorid-initiert armeringskorrosjon.
This thesis deals with the stress development in concrete structures during the hardening phase. The work is related to the Norwegian Public Roads Administration's project for Ferry-free E39 via the project "Concrete B100 and related construction topics for the E39 project." Where their overall goal is to develop a B100 concrete that can be used, among other things, in utility structures that will be set up on this stretch of road. The durability and functionality of the structure is therefore very important, as cracks can affect the service life of the concrete. Cracks should at least be avoided in such marine areas as the concrete will be exposed to chloride-initiated reinforcement corrosion. When fresh concrete is cast, the concrete will be exposed to volume changes during the curing phase due to thermal dilation and autogenous shrinkage. This can lead to cracking of the concrete if the volume changes are maintained. Furthermore, this will reduce the durability, functionality and aesthetics of the concrete structure. Using calculation methods that are based on the concrete's properties such as the development of strain and stress in the hardening phase, the concrete's volume changes and the risk of cracking can be evaluated. The risk can thus be reduced and even avoided by changing the composition and execution methods of the concrete. The purpose of this task is to gain better knowledge and understanding of the properties of concrete at an early age. Investigate how different parameters and holding forces affect the crack index in a particular construction type by simulating different concrete with different contents of fly ash. In this way, the strain and stress development of the concrete can be assessed and investigated. One part deals with the influence of retention situations and retention rate, while the other part deals with how different parameters and concretes with different property development (due to a percentage content of FA), can change the maximum curing temperature and the crack index. Four different concretes from the E39 series and five different DaCS (Durable advanced Concrete Solutions) concretes have been examined separately and compared. Temperature and voltage calculations have been performed in the simulation program CrackTeSt COIN and Excel. Thus, the crack index of the concrete has been estimated on the basis of a construction type • Different degrees of retention and situation • Parameters that vary wall dimension, starting temperature of fresh and mature concrete and ambient temperature, where all of them have different contents of fly ash. In addition, a concrete was mixed in the SINTEF laboratory and tested in a modern stress rig (Temperature-Stress Testing Machine - TSTM). The experimental results gave a stress development where autogenous deformation, thermal dilation and creep / relaxation were given. Subsequently, these material parameters were implemented in CrackTeSt COIN for temperature, stress and crack calculations.
