Hensikten med denne bacheloroppgaven er å se nærmere på barns medvirkning når det gjelder spørsmål om samvær. Oppgaven tar utgangspunkt i litteraturstudie som metode, og bygger på relevant litteratur og forskning innen barnevernsfeltet. Problemstillingen som belyses i oppgaven er: hvordan kan barnevernsarbeideren legge til rette for barns medvirkning i spørsmål om samvær etter omsorgsovertakelse? Barns rett til medvirkning er nedfelt i en rekke lovbestemmelser, men til tross for dette er det flere barn som beskriver å ha en opplevelse av manglende informasjon og medvirkning i samværsordningen. Oppgaven ser nærmere på hvilke elementer barn og unge påpeker som viktig når det gjelder å medvirke. Samtidig presenteres barns egne erfaringer knyttet til medvirkning i spørsmål om samvær og hvilke momenter som er viktig for barnevernsarbeideren å vurdere, når barn skal involveres i samværsspørsmål.

Abstract

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to look more closely at children's participation when it comes to questions about contact with biological parents. The thesis is based on literature study as a method and is based on relevant literature and research in the field of child welfare. The thesis is based on following issue: how can the child welfare worker facilitate children's participation in questions regarding contact with biological parents after moving? Children's right to participation is enshrined in a number of legal provisions, but despite this, there are several children who describe having an experience of lack of information and participation when it comes to contact with biological parents. The thesis takes a closer look at which elements children point out as important when it comes to participate. Simultaneous, the thesis is presenting children´s own experiences according to participation, and also which factors that is important for the child welfare worker, to consider, when involving children in questions regarding contact with biological parents.
