Samtaler med barn som har blitt utsatt for seksuelle overgrep - sosionomen sin rolle

Abstract

Seksuelle overgrep mot barn er et utbredt problem i samfunnet. Disse overgrepene blir både gjort av voksne og barn. Det er ikke alle disse overgrepene som blir oppdaget. Som sosionom kan man være en av de mulige profesjonene som kan oppdage hvis et barn blir utsatt for seksuelle overgrep. Etter dette vil det komme tilfeller hvor man har samtaler med barnet. I denne oppgaven går jeg inn på hvordan sosionomen kan møte barn i disse samtalene om seksuelle overgrep. Barn som har blitt utsatt for seksuelle overgrep kan ha alvorlige traumer og andre psykiske problemer som konsekvens av dette. Jeg går inn på hvilke metoder sosionomen kan bruke i samtaler med barn om dette temaet og hvilke hensyn sosionomen burde ta til barn som har blitt utsatt for seksuelle overgrep. Jeg ser også nærmere på traumebevisst omsorg, tegnesamtaler, den dialogiske samtalemetoden, åpen dialogisk kommunikasjonsstil, lukket monologisk kommunikasjonsstil og generelt om barnesamtaler i forhold til seksuelle overgrep mot barn. I tillegg til utviklingstraumer barn kan få av seksuelle overgrep og hvordan dette påvirker barn.

Sexual abuse against children is a big problem in society. The abuse is both done by adults and children. Not all the cases of sexual abuse get discovered. As a social worker you might be one of the professions that can be able to discover a potential case of sexual abuse. After the social worker potentially discovers that a child might be sexual abused, there will be cases where the social worker has conversations with the child. In this text I take a closer look on how the social worker can meet these children in conversations about sexual abuse that they have been the victim of. Children that are victims of sexual abuse might develop severe trauma and other mental issues as a consequence of the abuse. I look into different methods that the social worker can use in conversations with children about this subject and which precautions the social worker has to think about in these conversations. I also look into TraumaWise care, draw-and-tell conversations, the dialogical conversation method, open dialogical communication style, closed monological communication style and more general about conversations with children connected to sexual abuse against children. I also look into developmental trauma that the children can develop after sexual abuse and how this affects them.
