En god barndom varer i generasjoner: Sped- og småbarn i risiko- og omsorgssviktsituasjoner

Abstract

Denne bacheloroppgaven er gjennomført som et litteraturstudie, og tar for seg tilknytningsteori sett i lys av de omsorgsbetingelser som sped- og småbarn i alderen nyfødt til tre år lever under. I lys av forskning og teori fra litteratursøk blir det diskutert hvordan foreldre er med på å forme barnet, og hvordan ytre omstendigheter som ulik omsorgsutøvelse, foreldrefungering og -funksjon kan være kritisk for utvikling av tilknytning. Grunnlaget for oppgaven sett i fra et barnevernsfaglig ståsted er en sviktende foreldrerolle hvor omsorgsutøvelsen og foreldrefunksjonen ikke er optimal sett i sammenheng med barnets behov. Oppgaven baserer seg på kjente teoretikere som John Bowlby og Mary Ainsworth, som er sentrale innenfor tilknytningsforskning. Samtidig er nyere empiri på temaet også sentral for innholdet og oppbyggingen. Teorier om sped- og småbarn, og ulike faktorer som samspill, sensitivitet og resiliens er sentrale for oppgavens innhold. Videre sier den noe om omsorg og foreldrefunksjon, samt samspillet og relasjonen mellom foreldre og barn som også blir nevnt.

This bachelor thesis is conducted as a literature study and examines attachment and bonding based on the practice of care that infants and toddlers aged 0 to three years old experience. It discusses how parents contribute to their children's lives, and how external circumstances such as parental functioning and care conditions can be critical to a child’s development of attachment. The foundation of the thesis from a child protection point of view is a failing parental role where care conditions and parental functioning are not ideal compared to the child's needs. The contents of the text is based on well known theorists such as John Bowlby and Mary Ainsworth, whose names are both highly relevant and well known when it comes to research based on attachment theory. Recent empirical data on the subject is also important to note, and has played a huge part in the structure and contents of the thesis. Theories on infants and toddlers, as well as different factors such as resilience, sensitivity and parent-child interactions are central to the contents of this text. Furthermore it talks about caring for children and parental functions, as well as interactions and the relationship between parent and child.
