| dc.description.abstract | Det er et regionalpolitisk mål å sikre sterke lokalsamfunn i hele Trøndelag. Mens tendensene viser at flyttestrømmen går inn mot de større byene til det urbane liv, opplever flere distriktskommuner at livsgrunnlag går tapt og sysselsettingen går ned som følge av en økende sentralisering. Mye av fokuset de senere årene har derfor vært rettet mot å skape sterke og livskraftige lokalsamfunn i hele landet. Ved hjelp av omdømmebygging og aktiv steds- og næringsutvikling har flere norske kommuner de senere årene klart å skape attraktive steder. Med riktig bruk av ressurser og kompetanse evner distriktskommuner å være attraktive som bosted og for næringsliv. De ulike forutsetningene steder har for steds- og næringsutvikling må ses i sammenheng med stedets særegenheter. Mulighetene ligger i å oppdage det unike ved stedet, for så gripe fatt i det.
Ved å se nærmere på stedsbegrepet, har denne kvalitative studien den hensikt å undersøke hvordan steds- og næringsutvikling kan foregå i tettstedet Oppdal, som en følge av et kommende innovasjonssenter. Oppgaven vil på den bakgrunn undersøke hvilke ringvirkninger «Oppdal Innovasjonssenter» har for næringsliv, folk og omdømmet til Oppdal kommune. Basert på semistrukturerte intervjuer med offentlige og private næringsaktører i kommunen, bidrar oppgaven til å vise ulike forventninger og muligheter innovasjonssenteret har for kommunen. På bakgrunn av intervju og kvalitativt kildearbeid, finner studien at innovasjonssenteret gir et positivt bidrag til både folk og næringsliv i Oppdalsregionen. Kommunen styrker sin posisjon i «utkanten» av Trøndelag ved at det skapes et attraktivt og tilgjengelig sentrum med aktivitet for næringsliv og folk. Som et signalbygg i hjertet av sentrum, tilfører innovasjonssenteret noe innovativt og nytt som ikke finnes i regionen i dag. | |
| dc.description.abstract | A goal in regional policy is to ensure the stability of local communities within Trøndelag. While tendencies show that people migrate towards an urban life in the larger cities, several districts are experiencing a decline in employment and subsistence, as a result of the centralization. Therefore, in recent years, the focus has been on creating strong and vibrant communities throughout the country. By building reputation and implementing place and industrial development, several Norwegian municipalities have, in recent years, managed to create appealing areas. As a result, with the right competence and resources, districts become more appealing to residency and businesses. The different conditions for place and industrial development must then be seen in correlation with what uniquely characterizes the place. The opportunities lie in identifying the uniqueness of the place and make an effort to build on that.
By taking a closer look at the concept of location, this qualitative study aims to investigate how place and industrial development can occur in Oppdal, as a result of an upcoming innovation center. With this in mind, the thesis will investigate the effects that "Oppdal Innovation Center" has on business, people, and the eminence of the municipality of Oppdal. Based on semi-structured interviews with public and private industry players in the municipality, this master will present the different expectations and opportunities the innovation center produces for the municipality. Based on interviews and qualitative source work, the study finds that the innovation center makes a positive contribution to both the people and the business communities in Oppdal. It further strengthens the municipality's position within Trøndelag, by creating an attractive and accessible center for business and people. Placed in the heart of the city, the innovation center adds something innovative and new that does not exist in the region today. | |
