Robotic Process Automation

Abstract

Dette prosjektet startet med at jeg hadde en god ide for å strukturere e-postene vi får om kunder som ‘går ned’- mister forbindelsen. Jeg har utviklet både en nettside og programmert en robot til å lese e-posten og plassere dette i en database for å få struktur. Siden dette må integreres sammen med annet verktøy, så ble jeg nødt til å installere Ubuntu Server fra scratch og flytte gamle verktøy over på den nye serveren. Denne serveren kjører nå Ubuntu Server 18.04.5 LTS og inneholder Apache for web og MySQL som brukes som database.

Jeg ønsker at leseren av denne rapporten skal få informasjon og kunnskap om hvordan Robotic process automation fungerer, og hva det kan brukes til. I tillegg vil leseren få innblikk i diverse andre programmer og operativsystem.

This project started with me having a good idea to structure the emails we get about customers who 'go down' - loose connection. I have developed both a website and programmed a robot to read the email and place this in a database to get structure. Since this has to be integrated with other tools, I had to install Ubuntu Server from scratch and move old tools to the new server. This server now runs Ubuntu Server 18.04.5 LTS and contains Apache for web and MySQL which is used as a database.

I want the reader of this report to get information and knowledge about how Robotic process automation works, and what it can be used for. In addition, the reader will gain insight into various other programs and operating systems.
