dc.description.abstractEn latch-mekanisme I et wireline kjernebor har en viktig oppgave for en sikker og pålitelig drift av kjerneboret. Latch-mekanismen sørger for at kjernerøret holdes sikkert på plass under boring, i tillegg til å kunne sørge for en trygg opphenting av kjernen når kjernerøret er fullt. Målet med denne oppgaven er å utvikle et nytt konsept for en slik latch-mekanisme, for å løse problemer som finnes ved eksisterende løsninger
dc.description.abstractThe latch mechanism of a wireline core barrel serves an important role in successful retrieval of core samples. The latching mechanism ensures that the inner tube assembly is held in place during operation, and can be reliably retrieved once the core barrel is full. The objective of this thesis is to drive innovation by design a new and more reliable latching mechanism to solve the problems found with current designs.
