Lønnsomhetsanalyse av Tise AS

Abstract

I denne semesteroppgaven har vi gjennomført en regnskapsanalyse av Tise AS i perioden 2015-2019, der vi har hatt hovedfokus på lønnsomhet. Vi har sett på deres økonomiske utvikling ved å gå nærmere inn på lønnsomhet, finansiering, likviditet og soliditet. I tillegg har vi sett på interne og eksterne forhold i den strategiske analysen i form av VRIO analyse og PESTEL.

Innledningsvis har vi forklart tema og presentert vår problemstilling. Vi har også beskrevet bedriften Tise AS. Videre har vi presentert relevant teori om regnskapsanalyse og strategisk analyse. Deretter kommer en beskrivelse av valgt metode for vår oppgave. I denne delen har vi gjort rede for hvordan vi har gått fram for å besvare problemstillingen, samtidig som vi har begrunnet valg av undersøkelsesdesign, innsamling av data, m.m. med utgangspunkt i oppgavens validitet og reliabilitet.

Videre kommer den mest omfattende delen av oppgaven, nemlig analysedelen. Her presenterer vi først nøkkeltallene vi har fokusert på, og gjør en vurdering av disse. Til slutt i analysedelen ser vi på den strategiske analysen av Tise AS, der vi fokuserer på interne faktorer som kan skape konkurransefortrinn og eksterne forhold som kan påvirke bransjen i årene som kommer.

Avslutningsvis tar vi en vurdering og kommer med en konklusjon basert på våre funn. Vi bruker våre aspekter fra regnskapsanalysen og den strategiske analysen for å kunne besvare problemstillingen vår på en god måte. Analysen viser at lønnsomheten til Tise AS ikke er tilfredsstillende, noe som har en sammenheng med at de enda er i oppstartsfasen. Likevel kan en se at de har en svært tilfredsstillende finansiering, likviditet og soliditet, noe som tyder på at de har et veldig godt potensiale til å få en tilfredsstillende lønnsomhet innen noen få år.

In this bachelor thesis we have conducted an accounting analysis of Tise AS for the period 2015-2019, where we have focused mainly on profitability. We have looked at their economic development by looking at profitability, financing, liquidity and solidity. In addition, we have looked at internal and external aspects of the strategic analysis by drawing on VRIO and PESTEL.

Initially, we have explained the topic and presented our research question. We have also described the company Tise AS. Furthermore, we have defined presented theory on accounting analysis and strategic analysis followed by a description of the selected research method. In this section we have explained how we have proceeded to answer the question, while at the same time we have justified the choice of survey design, collection of data with respect to the validity and reliability of the thesis.

The analysis section constitutes the most comprehensive part of the thesis. Here, we first present the key financial figures we have focused on and make assessments of these. Finally, in the analysis section, we look at strategic analysis of Tise AS, where we focus on internal factors that can create competitive advantage, and external conditions that could affect the industry in the years to come.

Finally, we take an assessment and come to a conclusion based on our findings. We use our aspects of the accounting analysis and strategic analysis to respond satisfactorily to our research question. The analysis shows that the profitability of Tise AS is not satisfying, which is related to the fact that they are still in the startup phase. Nevertheless, one can see that they have a satisfactory financing, liquidity, and solvency, suggesting that they have a very good potential to achieve satisfactory profitability within a few years.
