Gunnar Sønstevolds musikk til filmen Ni liv (1957)

Abstract

Målet med denne oppgaven er å undersøke og drøfte forholdet mellom musikk og bilde i filmen Ni liv (1957). Den første delen av teksten skal sette filmen inn i sin historiske kontekst før det skal undersøkes hvilke forskjellige formål musikken har i filmen og hvordan disse oppnås. Hovedsakelig er det musikkens narrative funksjoner i filmen som kommer til å bli vektlagt, men noe oppmerksomhet vil også bli rettet mot de stilistiske aspektene ved musikken.

The goal of this thesis is to examine the relationship between the music and the picture in the movie Nine Lives (1957). The first part of the text will put the movie in its historical context. After this, the different purposes the music has and how this is achieved will be examined. The focus is mainly on the narrative functions of the music in the movie, but some attention will also be turned to the stylistic aspects.
