Hva er de sentrale strategiene i Katrin Bombes scenografiske arbeid i forestillingen «Romeo og Juliet» ved Trøndelag Teater?

Abstract

Oppgavens støttepunkt er forestillingen «Romeo og Juliet» av William Shakespeare som ble spilt på hovedscenen i perioden januar-mars 2021 på Trøndelag Teater. Oppgaven tar utgangspunkt i dagens scenografiske metoder, bilder og referanser. I denne oppgaven har jeg analysert, og tolket scenografien, samt kostymene Katrin Bombe konseptualiserte og gjorde for forestillingen. Hva er senografiske strategier; og et historisk tilbakeblikk blir redegjort. Mine personlige assosiasjoner samt Katrin Bombes svar fra vårt intervju blendes inn for forståelsen av det scenografiske arbeidet. Analysen hjalp for å konkludere for de «sentrale» strategiene som er ledet av scenografens overordnede mål om å kommunisere med publikum.

The thesis' is based on the performance "Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare which was played on the main stage in the period January-March 2021 at Trøndelag Theater. The thesis focuses on today's scenographic methods, images and references. In this thesis I have analyzed, and interpreted the scenography, as well as the costumes Katrin Bombe conceptualized and made for the performance. What are senographic strategies; and a historical overview is given. My personal associations as well as Katrin Bombe's answers from our interview are mixed to the understanding of the scenographic work. The analysis helped to conclude for the "central" strategies that are led by the scenic designer's overall goal of communicating with the audience.
