R210: Ein overgangsbustad på fjellet ved Aursjøen

Abstract

Denne oppgåva tek føre seg lokalitet R210 ved Aursjøen. Lokaliteten er datert til overgangstida mellom mesolitikum og neolitikum og ligg i fjellet på om lag 850 moh. Den inneheld spor etter faste konstruksjonar og skil seg soleis frå andre lokalitetar i fjellandskapet frå denne tida. Oppgåva inneheld ein gjennomgang og analyse av strukturar og funn samt forholdet mellom desse.

Med fokus på lokalitet R210 og Aursjøen, tek denne oppgåva føre seg sider ved jakt, fangst og fiske i fjellet. Det vert diskutert rundt mobilitet, kontaktområder og kvar menneska som heldt til på R210 høyrde til.

This thesis explores the archaeological site R210 which is located in the mountains at an altitude of 850 meters close to the lake Aursjøen. The site is dated to the transition period between the Mesolithic and Neolithic. It contains a wall mound and post holes which differs from other sites in the mountain region at the time. The thesis contains a review and analysis of the archaeological features and lithics found at the site. It also discusses the relationship between the two.

Focusing on R210 and Aursjøen, this thesis explores aspects of hunting, gathering and fishing in the mountains. Mobility, contact areas and where the people at R210 might have belonged are also discussed.
