Abstract

Prosjektet Bååstede har jobbet med å få tilbakeført den samiske kulturarven hjem, til de samiske museene. Dette har vært en prosess med både utfordringer og oppturer, der samarbeid har vært et nøkkelord. I Norge har det samiske folk lenge kjempet for sin rett i vårt samfunn, der de ikke lengre ønsker å bli uglesett. I denne oppgaven vil du lese om Bååstede-prosjektet og hvordan det frem til i dag har gått med tilbakeføringen og deltakelsen rundt den samiske kulturarven som har tilhørt Norsk Folkemuseum og Kulturhistorisk museum. Jeg kommer også inn på nærmiljøet, til Trondheim og Snåsa, der du vil lese om NTNU Vitenskapsmuseet og Saemien Sijte og deres deltakelse rundt tilbakeføring og hvordan det har fungert frem til i dag.

The Bååstede-projects has been working on bringing the Sámi cultural heritage back home to the Sámi museums. This has been a process with both challenges and upswings, where collaboration has been a key word. In Norway, The Sámi people have fought long for their rights in our society, where they no longer want to be looked down upon. In this thesis, you will read about the Bååstede-projects and how it to this day has been going with the return and participation around the Sámi cultural heritage, that has belonged to the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History (Norsk Folkemuseum) and the Museum of Cultural History (Kulturhistorisk museum). I will also visit the local community, Trondheim and Snåsa, where you will read about NTNU Vitenskapsmuseet and Saemien Sijte, and their participation around the return of the Sámi cultural heritage, and how it has been going until today.
