Magasinets rolle i forvaltningen

Abstract

Denne oppgaven forteller hvordan synet på bevaring av analogt materiale og magasin har endre seg de siste 20 årene. Jeg vil gjennom en rekke stortingsmeldinger i tilknytning arkivsektoren prøve å forklare denne utviklingen. Denne utviklingen vil bli sett i sammenheng med digitaliseringen inntog i den kulturpolitiskes sektoren arkiv. Digitaliseringens inntog har representerte særlige endringer både i form av utfordringer og fordeler. Jeg har gjennom denne oppgaven forsøkt å se hvordan disse nye utfordringene og fordelene kan ha påvirket arkivets allerede eksiterende arbeidsoppgaver og da mer presist arbeidet rundt bevaring av analogt materiale og magasin. I resultatet av oppgaven kom det frem at digitaliseringens inntog i sektoren har påvirket synet på bevaring og hvordan denne delen av forvaltningen er blitt håndtert de siste 20 årene. Likevel finnes det nyanser av denne påvirkningen og når en kommer nærmere nåtiden kan en se konturen av et skifte og at den analoge bevaringen kommer mer frem.

This thesis discusses how the view on the preservation of analogue material and archives has changed in the last 20 years. This analysis will be based on several reports to the Storting (Stortingsmeldinger) associated to the archive sector. This development will be seen in connection to the entry of digitalization in the cultural policy sector archives. The entry of digitalization has led to several changes both in terms of challenges and benefits. Through this thesis, I have tried to see how these new challenges and benefits may have affected the archive's already existing work and more precisely the work around the preservation of analogue material and archives. The result of the analysis shows that the entering of digitization has indeed affected the view on preservation and how this work has been prioritized the last 20 years. However, the priority has shifted through the years and one can now see a change on the view of the preservation of analogue material and archives.
