Historielag og bygningsvern

Abstract

Formålet med denne oppgaven er å undersøke hvordan historielagenes rolle ser ut i bygningsvernarbeidet i Norge. Videre tar den for seg hvilke antikvariske prinsipper som er aktuelle i dagens kulturminnevern i Norge, og hvilken rolle disse prinsippene har i bygningsvernarbeidet hos Klæbu bygdemuseum og Skaun bygdamuseum. For å løse dette har jeg analysert litteratur og ulike kilder, gjennomført intervjuer og vært på befaring. Resultatene viser at historielagene beskrives som verdifulle aktører i bygningsvernarbeidet. Historielagene er bevisste på antikvariske prinsipper, selv om prinsippene ikke uttrykkes av de jeg har intervjuet. Dette viser at både amatører og profesjonelle relaterer til antikvariske prinsipper, og at prinsippene er vidspredt når også frivillige organisasjoner tar hensyn til slike prinsipper i det praktiske bygningsvernarbeidet.

The purpose of this assignment is to investigate what the role of the historical societies looks like in the architectural conservation field in Norway. Furthermore, it examines the antiquarian principles that are relevant in today's cultural heritage field in Norway, and what role these principles play at Klæbu bygdemuseum and Skaun Bygdamuseum. To solve this, I have analyzed literature and various sources, conducted interviews and been on a visit to Klæbu bygdemuseum. The results show that the history societies are described as valuable assets in the architectural conservation field. The history societies are conscious of antiquarian principles, although those principles are not expressed by those I interviewed. This shows that both amateurs and professionals relate to antiquarian principles, and that the principles are widespread when also voluntary organizations take such principles into account in the practical architectural conservation work.
