Abstract

Tittel: Mestring, god livskvalitet og ROP-lidelser

Hensikt: Hensikten med denne oppgaven er å tilegne seg mer kunnskap og forståelse om brukere med ROP-lidelser og deres behov i døgnbehandling. Hvordan bør sykepleieren jobbe i behandlingen av brukere med ROP-lidelser for å fremme mestring og god livskvalitet?

Problemstilling: Hvordan kan sykepleieren fremme mestring og livskvalitet til brukere med ROP-lidelser?

Metode: Delvis systematisk litteraturstudie med syv forskningsartikler, pensumlitteratur og egen valgt litteratur. Forskningsartiklene som er brukt i oppgaven ble funnet på databasene Cinahl Complete og SveMed+, og består av seks kvalitative forskningsstudier og en kvantitativ forskningsstudie.

Resultat: Forskningsartiklene som er benyttet i oppgaven belyser erfaringer i behandling blant brukere med ROP-lidelser, viktigheten av en god terapeutisk relasjon og hva brukere anser som viktig i arbeidet mot mestring og god livskvalitet.

Konklusjon: For at sykepleieren kan fremme mestring og livskvalitet bør man ha en god terapeutisk relasjon til brukeren. Hva som oppleves som god livskvalitet kommer an på brukerens indre opplevelser av eget liv. Ytre faktorer som kan bidra til mestring og livskvalitet kan være meningsfulle aktiviteter, sosialisering, brukermedvirkning og involvering av pårørende.

Title: How to achieve coping and a good quality of life with dual diagnosis

Purpose: The purpose of this assignment is to acquire more knowledge and understanding about users with dual diagnosis and their needs in 24-hour treatment. How should the nurse work in the treatment of users with dual diagnosis to promote coping and quality of life?

Research question: How can the nurse promote coping and quality of life among users with dual diagnosis?

Method: Partial systematic literature study with seven research articles, syllabus literature and own selected literature. The research articles used in the thesis were found on the databases Cinahl Complete and SveMed+, and consist of six qualitative research studies and one quantitative research study.

Results: The research articles used in the thesis shed light on experiences in treatment among users with dual diagnosis, the importance of a good therapeutic relationship and what users consider to be important in the work towards coping and quality of life.

Conclusion: In order for the nurse to promote coping and quality of life, one should have a good therapeutic relationship with the user. What is perceived as a good quality of life depends on the user's inner experiences of their own life. External factors that can contribute to coping and quality of life can be meaningful activities, socialization, user participation and involvement of relatives.
