Det store bildet: Realisme i Cuaróns 'Roma'

Abstract

Hovedfokuset for denne oppgaven er å definere 'Roma's fokus på ytre omgivelser i tråd med Siegfried Kracauer og André Bazins teorier om filmatisk realisme. Trekk ved filmens kinematografi og handling blir diskutert langs aksen mellom det realistiske og formalistiske, og forklares ut ifra de to teoretikernes konsepter.

The main focus of this thesis is to define 'Roma's focus on exterior surroundings in line with Siegfried Kracauer and André Bazins theories of cinematic realism. Features of the film’s cinematography and narrative are discussed along the axis between the realist and formalist tendencies and are connected with to the two theorists’ concepts.
